Knittin' Kittens: Ages 8 to 12 - Children learn the basic skills of knitting with loads of games and much fun!! Up to 20 kids per workshop. Kits are provided with instructions, yarn and needles.
KnitTEENS: Ages 13 to 17 - Teens will learn to stitch a friendship scarf .These workshops have been known to produce giggles with friends and balls of yarn gone AWOL. Up to 20 teens per workshop. Kits are provided which included instructions, yarn and needles.
Adult Workshops: Ages 14 and up - 'Girls Night Out' at your local library or home. Learn to knit or crochet with us!
Have Yarn - Will Travel Socks: Let Kathleen show you why knitting socks is her very favorite thing to knit. She has created a very easy pattern for you to follow. Discover the "miracle" of turning a heel. After you have worn your own hand knitted socks, you'll never want to wear store bought again!
Crochet 101: Learn the art of crochet and make a beautiful purse. .
Crochet 102: Filet Crochet: This type of crocheted lace is gridlike because it uses only two crochet stitches and is so fun to do. If you know how to do the chain stitch and the double crochet stitch (U.S. terminology; known in some other countries as chain stitch and treble crochet) you will easily master this form of crocheting. Patterns are simply formed by filling in parts of the mesh with double crochet stitches.
How to Read a Pattern: Learn how to decipher and even adapt a pattern to your needs. Learn what all of those acronyms mean and have fun doing it. Learn the importance of knitting a swatch before starting your project.
